These terms are an agreement between you and Skyreal Tech Labs Ltd (RC 9911711), the company that operates Kampus Plug (“Kampus Plug”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using kampusplug.com, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Kampus Plug.
What Kampus Plug is
Kampus Plug is a marketplace where students buy from approved student vendors on their campus. Vendors sell their own products and set their own prices, stock and delivery options. We aren’t the seller of anything listed on Kampus Plug. Our part is running the platform, reviewing shops and holding each payment until the buyer confirms they have their order. When you pay for an order, we receive the payment on the seller’s behalf.
Through Fairly used, any student with an account can also sell things they personally own to other students. Fairly used items are sold by individual students, not by Kampus Plug or by approved shops.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older to use Kampus Plug. By creating an account, you confirm that you are. Kampus Plug is not for anyone under 18, and a parent or guardian’s permission doesn’t change that.
- If we find that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it, cancel their open orders and return any money we hold to where it came from.
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password and sign-in details safe. You’re responsible for what happens on your account, so tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
- One person per account. Don’t create an account for someone else or after we’ve suspended you.
Buying
- Vendors set prices, stock, delivery points and delivery fees. Kampus Plug may add a service fee. You see the full total, including delivery and any service fee, before you pay.
- You pay from your Kampus Plug wallet or online through our payment partner, Squad. Either way, the money is held by Kampus Plug, not sent to the vendor.
- If the vendor rejects your order, you get a full refund to your wallet.
- You can cancel and get a full refund to your wallet until the order is out for delivery.
- When the vendor marks your order delivered, we email you a 6-digit completion code. Giving the vendor your code confirms you have your order and releases the payment to them. Once released, it generally can’t be reversed, so only share your code after you’ve received and checked your order.
- If something goes wrong with an order, email support@kampusplug.com. We’ll look into it and may hold or refund the payment based on what we find.
Selling
- To sell, you apply to open a shop with accurate details, your student ID and verification photos. We decide whether to approve a shop, and we can suspend or remove a shop at any time if it breaks these terms.
- Your listings must be accurate and honest, including the photos, description, price, stock and any add-ons.
- Accept or reject orders promptly, deliver to the delivery point the buyer chose, and keep each order’s status up to date.
- Only ask for the completion code once the buyer has their order. Don’t ask buyers to pay you outside Kampus Plug for an order placed on Kampus Plug.
- You’re responsible for your products, for following the law and your institution’s rules, and for any taxes on your sales.
- Kampus Plug may charge a fee on each order you receive, either a fixed amount or a percentage of the sale. It’s taken from the payment released to you, and you can see it on each order. The fee can change at any time, but a change only applies to orders placed after it.
- Once the buyer confirms an order, we send your earnings to the bank account you saved. See “Wallet and payouts” below.
Fairly used
- To list an item, you need an account with your campus and phone number. Your phone number isn’t shown to buyers. You can have up to 10 items listed at once.
- Only list things you own and can hand over yourself. Describe the item honestly, choose the right condition, and show any faults in the photos.
- Buyers can buy at your price or make an offer. Offers last 24 hours and can’t be lower than 60% of your price. If you set a lowest offer you’ll take, offers below it are declined for you. When you accept an offer, the item is held for that buyer for 2 hours. If they don’t pay in time, it goes back on sale.
- Buyers pay with the Pay button on Kampus Plug, from their wallet or online through Squad. Kampus Plug holds the money until the handover. Kampus Plug may add a service fee, which the buyer sees before paying.
- Meet in a busy, public place on campus. The buyer checks the item, then shows the seller a 6-digit handover code in the app. Entering the code releases the payment to the seller and can’t be reversed, so buyers should only share it once they have the item and are happy with it.
- If the buyer can’t show a code, the seller can mark the item as handed over. The buyer then confirms they have it, which releases the payment, or reports a problem. If they do neither within 48 hours, the payment is released to the seller.
- The seller can cancel before the handover, and the buyer gets a full refund. If the seller hasn’t handed the item over within 3 days of payment, the buyer can cancel for a full refund.
- If something is wrong, report a problem on the deal before the payment is released. We’ll hold the money, look at what both sides tell us, and decide whether to refund the buyer or pay the seller.
- Kampus Plug may charge sellers a fee on each Fairly used sale. It’s taken from the payment released to you, and you see it before you list and on each deal.
- Payments made outside Kampus Plug aren’t our responsibility. If you transfer money, pay cash or send anything of value to another user directly, instead of using the Pay button on Kampus Plug, we can’t protect, track or refund it, and we aren’t liable for any loss.
Wallet and payouts
- You can top up your wallet by bank transfer, card or USSD, up to ₦50,000 at a time. Your wallet can hold up to ₦300,000. Payments are processed by our payment partner, Squad.
- Your wallet balance is for buying on Kampus Plug. It isn’t a bank account, doesn’t earn interest and can’t be withdrawn to a bank account.
- You can ask for unspent wallet money back. Open the “Money added” entry in your wallet activity and tap “Get unspent money back”. You can also email support@kampusplug.com. We’ll return that payment to the card or account it came from, up to what’s left in your wallet. Your bank may take a few business days to show it.
- Money from your sales doesn’t go into your wallet. Once the buyer confirms, we send it to the Nigerian bank account you saved, usually within 1–3 business days. The account must be in your own name.
- We may delay or hold a payout while we look into suspected fraud, a dispute or a breach of these terms, and we may reverse money credited by mistake or through fraud.
What you can’t sell
- Anything illegal in Nigeria or banned by your institution.
- Drugs, including prescription-only medicines, and weapons.
- Stolen, counterfeit or pirated goods.
- Exam questions or answers, or assignments and projects meant to be submitted as someone else’s work.
- Adult content, or anything that infringes someone else’s rights.
How you must behave
- Don’t scam, mislead or harass other users.
- Don’t post fake reviews or reviews for orders you didn’t receive.
- Don’t try to get around the payment hold, our shop checks or a suspension.
- Don’t ask another user to pay you outside Kampus Plug.
- Don’t make or accept offers you don’t intend to complete.
- Don’t pretend to be someone else.
- Don’t scrape Kampus Plug, overload it, probe it for security weaknesses, or interfere with how it works.
What you post
You keep ownership of the listings, photos, videos, reviews and messages you post. You give Kampus Plug permission to host, display and share them to run and promote the marketplace, for as long as they’re on Kampus Plug. Only post content you have the right to use. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
Suspending or closing accounts
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other users at risk. You can close your account at any time by emailing support@kampusplug.com. Open orders and wallet balances are settled as these terms describe before an account is closed. We delete your personal information 30 days after your request, as our Privacy Policy explains.
Our responsibility
We check shops before they can sell, but vendors are responsible for their products. We don’t guarantee the quality, safety or legality of items listed on Kampus Plug, and we provide the service “as is”, without promising it will always be available or error-free.
Fairly used items are sold by individual students. We don’t inspect them, and we aren’t present at meetups. Our part is holding the payment and releasing or refunding it as these terms describe.
As far as the law allows, Kampus Plug isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim about an order is limited to the amount paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Nigerian consumer protection law.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we’ll update the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we’ll also tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. Using Kampus Plug after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and Nigerian courts handle disputes.
